Nicole Pazdan founded Elder Placement Professionals, after a life changing situation put her in need of the proper elder care facility for a family member, with no knowledge of the different options and short on time she had no one to turn to. She took this trying time and decided to dedicate her work to helping families in the same situation. Elder Placement Professionals is the premier elder care placement facility on the central coast. Brief Owner Bio
Nicole Pazdan was born and raised in San Francisco Ca., and has been drawn to senior citizens at a young age. At 16yrs old, she was a Candy Striper (volunteer) in Hospitals, then obtained her California Nurses Assistant (CNA) & Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) license.
She worked in a nursing home until she was 19, then went into Home Health care. Nicole received her Business Administration degree, from Cal Poly State University.
In 1999 she moved her 3 boys to San Luis Obispo, CA. She has spent many years of her career in the Health Care industry, and appreciates the rewarding experience of working with families, and the medical community.
Nicole takes advantage of every opportunity to further her knowledge of Senior Care and the obstacles they face and became a Certified Senior Adviser (CSA) in 2007.
Nicole and her family eagerly anticipate the winter to go snow boarding. They take advantage of all San Luis Obispo has to offer and spend the weekends golfing, hiking, and cycling.

Howard Brewen is a third-generation resident of northern San Luis Obispo County. After graduating from UC Davis, Howard began his professional career as a licensed racehorse trainer managing a small stable that eventually grew into a large operation competing at all five major racing venues within the state. Always seeking challenging opportunities, Howard’s work experience includes positions in the private and public sectors as well as entrepreneurial endeavors that remain closest to his heart. Service-oriented ventures have been a passion of Howards for many years. Steven Herring was born and raised in Atascadero. After graduating from high school, Steven attended college and graduated from Allan Hancock Firefighter 1 Academy. While applying for different fire departments and agencies, Steven worked full-time as a Field foreman for a directional drilling company and went to school at night to achieve his EMT certificate, though his heart was always set on being an Entrepreneur of his own successful business. Jonathan Olcott graduated from the Ya San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine with a MATCM degree in 2013. Jonathan grew up in San Luis Obispo County, participating in an active outdoor and athletic lifestyle that was brought to a halt in 2006 when he rolled his truck down a steep ravine on the Cuesta Grade. He was lucky to survive the accident but the resulting thoracic vertebrae compression fracture ended his rock climbing, wakeboarding, surfing, and competitive downhill mountain cycling.
The back pain from the injury persisted for years and typical routes of treatment were met with mixed, largely unsatisfactory, results. Not wanting to rely on painkillers or have surgery, Jonathan began exercise therapies like yoga and tai chi, which led him to live in an ashram in Colorado, then to pursue studies in Eastern philosophy and traditional Eastern arts as an undergraduate at Naropa University.
“My first exposure to acupuncture was during this time and I found profound personal relief and healing through these treatments. Through this experience, I found my passion for acupuncture, knowing that I wanted to help others find ways to heal themselves even when the barriers to good health seemed insurmountable,” says Jonathan.

I grew up in a French and Croatian family where cheese was the centerpiece of our family life. We sat for hours around the table laughing and loving on each other through this great fromage feast placed in front of us.
We wanted to create a cheese culture here where people felt welcome to taste and try cheese the way Europeans do. We carry between 60 and 80 cheeses at any time; most from international partners who have been making cheese from old world traditions for hundreds of years.
It is our greatest pleasure to watch people discover cheese as they travel on a global sensory journey from the walls of our shop or when they receive our cheese of the month club which ships throughout California.

Founded in 1997 San Luis Salsa Company has always been local. Raised in San Luis Obispo founder Torri Simons-Holdener has been avid chef since a young age. When she started making salsa for parties, her friends would ask Torri to make it for their get-togethers. Then one friend opened a few stores and asked me if I could put Torri’s salsa into their store and make it available to the public. And that’s where it all began. Now San Luis Salsa Company is available in national chain grocers, wineries, and gourmet shops.
