About the business
Dan and Rachel Ryan purchased Shoreline Awning & Patio from the original owner, Russ Meznarich in 2024. Serving Central Coast communities since 1986, Shoreline Awning and Patio is the perfect match for the Ryans.
Born and raised on the Central Coast, the couple lived and worked around the country, finally returning home to Templeton in 2013. Dan put his background in construction project management to work by opening a new branch for BBSI, a company providing safety, human resources management, and workers’ compensation for the local construction industry.
Dan’s construction background focused on hangar projects for the aviation industry. “The opportunity to acquire Shoreline Awning & Patio piqued my imagination,” said Dan. “Awnings, sun shades, cabanas, and outdoor living enhancements all share an aerodynamic aesthetic with aviation design that I found highly appealing.”
